Sinopsis


Second film in a three part series. After building a house on the hill for war orphans, Shu¯hei goes to Tokyo to find his missing brother, Shu¯kichi. Although he cannot find him, Shu¯hei meets many war orphans who are being forced to work as pickpockets for gangsters and is determined to save them from their plight. Meanwhile, Shu¯kichi, who was enduring hunger as he waited for his older brother, is helped by an old woman and is able to return home.

Sinopsis


First film in a three part series. Dramatization of the popular radio drama of the same title. While searching for his one and only brother after returning home from WWII, a young man named Shu¯hei meets a war orphan named Ryu¯ta. Feeling sorry for their pitiful conditions, Shu¯hei decides to build a home for the orphans in his hometown. Shu¯hei, however, must still overcome numerous obstacles including Ryu¯ta's continuing grief and finding his missing brother.
